The best thing about this purely populist song is its simple directness. That is true not only of the lyrics but also the tune. Neither gets in the way of the other.
This is a great song, performance and feel to the song. Loved it.
What really bothers me is not the Presidential race, or the lawfare right now. What is it? Something is off about the country and the world, that feels much more Judgement Day, than a very important election.
Something Wicked this way comes, and it is not man threatening man. Something that is truly existential is on the horizon, having more to do with essential evil, that will require an answer from the Highest Throne in the Universe.
If you are a believer, hit those knees and make sure of your line of communication with the Almighty. Just my advice, I am afraid for the many who won’t.
