My wife and daughter like watching old Duck Dynasty reruns. My daughter likes listening to their current podcasts that are basically Bible studies (usually done by Jase and Phil). I've listened to some of it and it is really good. Due in part to that and other things, she was just yesterday baptized as an adult after being led astray for a number of years. Hallelujah!

But - they were signed up to go to some big event with the CEO of Duck Dynasty (Willie) and his wife and a bunch of other familiar names. Something like “Living your Best”. Promoted as Christian learning and praise, etc. down at the Tacoma Dome.

I looked it up and the reviews said it each speaker started off with a prayer and then just did a talk about how their investment program would help you to “live your best”. An all day sales thing! “And if you order today - you can get the $3,000 package for only $999. And our experts will help you get started RIGHT NOW!”

I was going to mention the details of the reviews but they were so gung-ho to go and weren't going to listen. So I just said “You should read some reviews before you drive all the way down there.”

They ended up spending the day together going to a movie and getting their nails done!
