True dat. At the Irish session at our local pub last week a young woman seated at a table with (I presume) her mom stood and began a step dance to the music. I have nephews who are 6'4" and 6'6"; she is taller than they are. And she is strikingly pretty, with a great smile. Slim and fit, well-coordinated. It took all my inner strength to avoid being one of the many who no doubt ask her about basketball.
I hope she comes back. Pretty, fit young women make me smile!
Well, Dundee, did you make sure?
No, no. Perfectly appropriate to (politely!) ask:
“I like your posture - You carry your height well. Do you still play sports?” (”Did you play ball in school?” if a bit older.)
Let her decide which sport she played - you have already complimented her. Volleyball, basketball, field hockey, dance, team, cheerleading, track and field (pole vault or high jump) ... All are possible.
Gigantism is a thing. It’s not representative of normal persons nor relevant to the issue of Griner’s sex. And stop checking out young chickies you old fart.
