I would choose to live,since I see my life to be a gift and primarily a blessing. But I have not lived their experience or felt their intense. unending pain. This should never be done aa some kind of quick decision based on a temporary mood, but each of us feels life from our own perspective.
Having a spiritual life will help one get through the hard times, but sometimes there will continue to be a. high degree of suffering to be expected and absorbed.
On the other hand we have people who have terminal illnesses.
That spend hundreds of thousands even millions of dollars.
Just to live out a few weeks or months extra.
I am not saying they should commit suicide.
Bur modern medicine can keep someone alive well past their time,
