More of a Globalist rag than an ‘illusion’.
Alan Watts, the Beatnik Taoist had a great television lecture about time...its up on youtube I think...about as a good an explanation as any—time is something like wake from a boat...
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it’s sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way but you’re older

Every year is getting shorter never seem to find the time

Thought I’d something more to say
Whatever time is, its effects are easy to spot and are not an illusion.
God doesn’t need time. He created it by ordering the celestial bodies in order to give Earth day and night as part of regulating the system. Also, I think He gave us humans partitions of time so that we wouldn’t be overwhelmed by eternity which is a mind-boggling concept. This, of course, is just my opinion.
Einstein said time was invented so that everything didn’t happen at once.
If time is an illusion then why is my time coming quickly to an end 😳
The entire physical universe is an illusion. It is perceived in different ways by different observers. It has no meaning except to the observer.
