Honey, I hope you come to understand that a man who smokes & a woman puts her breasts on display is guilty of an equivalent to what gays do. If you are online a girl who bares her cleavage, you are no less guilty than gays. God judges all sin the same. Divorce? Same. I always thought that there were different levels of sin. That isn’t how it works. None of that is to say that you shouldn’t make judgements. Life is about making judgements. What I’m saying is you are a reactionary in that you are no longer judging it on what it is, you are judging it as a reaction to those pushing it & it skews your vision

Homosexuality, lesbianism, transgenderism, etc. are sins & they should be seen as such. However, what makes those arguing that so ineffective is that you are so singularly focused on this issue (as they are from the other side) that you seem to lose focus on other sins that are rampant & destroying the nation & world. Some might even argue that those sins that are neglected & allowed to happen unabated- are equally bad or worse. Divorce, breakdown of the family, adultery, single parenthood, illegitimate are rotting the foundations of society, yet how many conservatives & Christians don’t mention those issues? How many don’t even see those as equally important issues?

I can tell you, I’m as staunch a conservative & biblical traditionalist as anyone, so I dont disagree with your sentiment. What I take issue with, is that more han half of the conservatives I know, who are singularly focused on this issue, are recently divorced, absent from their children’s lives. Obsessed with money & status, are adulterous, etc.

As I said before, it’s a perfectly appropriate issue to discuss, but there isn’t any need to elevate it as a bigger wrong than all else, while downplaying sins that hit closer to our lives. Have you been divorced? Do you gossip? Ever look at other women? Sex before marriage? Do you smoke, drink alcohol, Do drugs? Have you ever lied? Homosexual behavior is a sin, but you seem to focus on it above all else 🙄🫣🤭

8 If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself,”[a] you are doing right. 9 But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11 For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,”[b] also said, “You shall not murder.”[c] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

12 Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13 because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

James 2:8-13
