There might be a wing of the FBI that actually does good things. Trump may have moles in the FBI who get the corrupt bosses in FBI to do some slam dunk cases to make the FBI look good.
Plus Sheng Thao is a complete “dufusette” and may be not following federal guidelines in using federal grants...hence the investigation.

The voters in Oakland seem to be fed up with the downfall of Oakland and just succeeded in getting a recall election for her on the ballot:

My guess is, the progressive powers realize she will lose badly. This would not only be bad publicity for progressivism, though. Apparently the voters are completely fed up and taking it out on her. This could mobilize people to get out to the polls to vote against her in November. And oops, they might vote for Republicans, too. The Dems would never live down losing Oakland.
