If this story is correct, and I believe it is, what are the practical consequences of the observation : "It is not difficult to imagine a person, or even a group, with the intent to do harm slipping across a border—where U.S. officials reported 2.5 million encounters with migrants in 2023—and then purchasing assault rifles and carrying out a large massacre." That actually sells the story short: it's difficult to imagine that there are not at least a couple of hundred bad actors already in country. What would some of those threats look like? Would they limit themselves to large public gatherings, or would a motivated attacker seek also to emulate Hamas on October 7, and pursue people in the homes, their places of work, schools, and churches? And what would the responsible armed citizen do to prepare for something like this? Could be a very ugly summer.
