Heh. As a very small child (less than six) I told everyone that I wanted to be an astronaut.
Then one Sunday afternoon in January 1981 the big TV station in Greensboro aired Marooned.
Watching that movie thoroughly quashed THAT desire of mine!!!

When my son was five, he told my wife he wanted to work at NASA. She said “Oh, you want to be an astronaut?” He replied that he wanted to build rockets.
Well, he’s now an Astronautical Engineer and works at NASA.
