Communism is depressing. A simple visit to a place ruled by communists confirms this.
The short answer is Yes - any ideology dependent on hatred, envy, resentment, outrage, mendacity, and malevolence is bound to take a toll.
“Social Justice” has no redeeming social benefit, and cannot properly be called justice in any way, shape, form, or manner. It is a scheme for “getting even”, a philosophical impossibility, as there is nobody to judge just where the point of “being even” actually lies.
Rather like where a person may lie upon a seesaw at its pivot point and determine when the position of the board is exactly balanced. One end or the other falls to the ground, sometimes forcefully.
