First response, you go off the rails. What does that have to do with the history of Taiwan?

You repeat Beijing narrative and talking point unquestionably.

With zero actual knowledge of the issue or history.

Taiwan has never been part of China.

Chinese people first began going there to work when the Dutch set up a colony there in 1620 or so.

About 40 years later the Manchus defeated the Qing and a half Chinese Half Japanese pirate, who was opposed to the new Qing Dynasty, defeated the Dutch, who left, and set up his own kingdom on Taiwan. Certain Chinese people continued settling in Taiwan.

After about 40 years the Manchus were able to wrest control of the Chinese parts of Taiwan. Certain Chinese continued to move to and settle Taiwan.

Manchus eventually ceded Taiwan to Japan in 1895 via treaty. Taiwanese in response formed the Taiwan Republic and resisted the Japanese, who were able to defeat Taiwan in less than a year.

Japan surrendered in 1945.

Allies occupied Taiwan, Chiang Kai-shek as per general order 1 occupied, and administered Taiwan.

Subsequently Chiang Kai-shek lost to the communists and moved the government to Taiwan along with about a million people in 1949/50. There were about 6 million Taiwanese living there at the time, still legally Japanese nationality.

In 1951 Japan signed the surrender Treaty relinquishing sovereignty over Taiwan which went in to effect in 1952.

That’s where it stands today.

Taiwan had no part in the Chinese Revolution, formation of Republic of China, nor the civil war.

China has no claim on Taiwan and you don’t have to repeat their narrative and talking points and false analogies as if they are true.

Maybe you just don’t know better. Now you do.
