I copied this before the link went dead. It is from a school on the Oregon coast. Imagine what happens in Portland.

Gender Affirming Closet Donation Kickoff Donate We are still accepting donations: amazon wishlist. We understand that sometimes things come up and you may not be able to attend. If so, we have created an amazon wishlist with different items that we will need.

Gender Affirming Closet Donation Kickoff on August 4th 2022 A gender affirming closet at Taft High has been in the works for the past couple of months. What this means is that there will be a room full of clothes, makeup, and accessories for students to request. Many students that are transgender and/or nonbinary are not supported by their parents nor can showcase it with their daily clothing choices. These students will be able to go into the closet and take anything that they may need to identify however they are comfortable within their clothing. It will also have makeup brochures and different resources that they can reach out to. All donated items will be stored at Driftwood Public library until the beginning of the school year when we have their forever home. What to expect?

• Guest Speaker • Free face painting • Photo booth with props • Am auction full of items that our local businesses donated • Bins for closet donations • The ability for monetary donations • Table of snacks • Free small pride flags and stickers • A scavenger hunt with a prizes
