Yes, the psychiatric profession has disgraced itself by ignoring the kind of evidence presented in this study. Dr. Paul McHugh of Johns Hopkins University was ruthlessly attacked by so-called human-rights activists and some members of the medical community for pointing out that those who had undergone transgender surgeries showed no lasting psychiatric benefit.
The shrinks are one terrible thing, but the pill pushers and knife-wielders are even worse.
