“the damned Gila woodpeckers”
We get Northern Flicker woodpeckers in the spring that drum on our chimney caps. Unfortunately, it’s only a few feet down the chimney to our master bedroom on the second floor. There’s nothing like waking up to that serenade at 5 am!
At least our chimney is pretty much at the other end of the house from the bedroom. I have thought about putting some sort of padding up on the chimney cap, but then they’ll drill holes in the siding.
