160k a year is not all that high. I make more than that and would never pay that much for lobster.

The uber wealthy have accountants to work the tax system to make it appear they make almost nothing at tax time. Measured by net worth, I'd bet Hamptonites are mostly well above the top 1%. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

ya thats probably true. However another poster said the average income is about $160k. Taxable income and Total income are different thing altogether. A matter of symantics I guess. Regardless, paying a fortune for seafood seems foolish to me.
