By the way, they’re calling Farage an “unembarrassed racist” this morning !

They’re coming for him folks because he must be doing well.

Definitely coming after him with this story:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-interactive/2024/jun/14/he-was-a-deeply-unembarrassed-racist-nigel-farage-by-those-who-have-known-him

Could be manufactured or could be real, which is all they need to raise the doubt on—but that it is only coming out now makes me think its an MI5/6 special.

It appears that the Conservatives in Britain are the equivalent of the most liberal Republicans in America: Mitt Romney, Larry Hogan, Liz Cheney. They may be somewhat pro-free market and pro-NATO but are as bad as the Labour Party on social and environmental issues. It looks like they will be replaces by a radical Labour Party, which is politically to the left of Biden and Obama, more like AOC or Rashida Talib.

Yes I was referring to that. I’ve not even read it but you knew they were coming for him. Expect more of this.

What’s your take on the Reform challenge to the Tories? Is the Blue Wall at any risk of becoming the Brown Wall, or worse, turning Red altogether?

I think that Farage will soon be Prime Minister, heading a Reform-Conservative coalition government that speaks for middle class Brits. In personality, Farage is what they call a "decent bloke," the kind of person who is normal, gets on with others, and is thought well of at the local pub. And Farage alone has the credibility to deliver an immigration crackdown and on other issues.

In contrast, Sunak is clever but clueless, a double-talking weasel fronting for centrists, the entitled, and the securely affluent. Starmer is a dull personality and heads a party infested with Leftist loons and cozy with Islamists. After Farage wins, Sunak will go to the House of Lords as Baron Tandoori or something like that, while Starmer will get a well-paid bureaucratic sinecure.

Labour will win a huge majority, but will cock it up infuriating people with wokeness, increased immigration and economic decline. Reform will enter Parliament with a few MPs, but will win more next time. Labour will need to destroy their credibility with a period of government before the electorate will seriously consider Reform as an alternative government.
