I reject this premise. It is old thinking and has been wiped out by mail in voting.
Recall, the Dems always tried to push mandatory voting. They got nowhere, or did they?
Mail in voting is mandatory voting. Every registered Dem gets a ballot. Whether they show up to vote on Election Day or return the ballot, they are voting, and if they don’t, someone is voting for them. Unreturned mail in ballots represent an endless supply of votes that can be filled out (think, stop the counting) as soon as they discover how many votes they will need. Voila, victory ten days later!!!
For Republicans to win, they need to register as many GOP voters and they can make sure everyone of them “votes.” They need to either overcome the Dems supply of ballots or shrink the margin so greatly as to make Election Day more meaningful.
100,000,000 REAL votes for President Trump will do the trick!
That's why they needed a couple of days in the "battleground" states to figure out who haven't voted.
