hard to bear...
my dad had traumatic-induced dementia...he always knew who i was but had no conception of “current”.
he didn’t live long enough for his dementia to get worse...WW2 vet who died at 64 years old.

With my dad he got it from surviving a clot. He dropped literally five feet away from an ambulance.
I told my mom that at least you got a few more years with him. If it had happened at their house instead of the retirement home he would have died in the garden doing what he loved. Instead he was had to suffer at the end, and we with him. When I buried my father I didn’t shed a tear. Those tears were shed long ago.
My son knows to not revive me. If I want to come back God will grant it if I wish it. To be honest I’m ready to move on. I’ve accomplished a lot. But I never stop. Get ‘r done!
