Scratch cooking is the way to go. I make things like soups, beans etc in large quantities and freeze the extra in yogurt containers in the fridge for meals later on. Bake our own bread, 4 loaves at a time, freeze 3. Etc
I am a scratch person too, and cook in bulk for myself.
I have had to drastically change my diet however, because of autoimmune problems. I had to give up my bread baking, all carbs, including fruits and most vegetables, and seed oils.
No
processed foods are healthy for me, as a lifetime of eating what the .gov said ruined my health, slowly poisoning me over time.
So, it is animal protein and animal fats to keep me symptom free. My major worry is what if “they” are successful in getting rid of animal products? What will I do?
How many young folk today know how to eat a healthy home cooked ancestral proper human diet? :::sigh:::
I do the same thing with soups. I’ve baked bread but don’t do it often. Good sized veggie garden. And a food source for meat.
