My mother was a microbiologist - a woman long before her time... she never earned more than the janitor I suspect. She worked at the hospital here in Orlando back in the 50s, even created vaccines for unknown diseases to save lives when Dr's could do nothing.

I read all this and I wonder what she would think of it all. As far as I know little to none of this was known in her day ... but if she didn't know it she instinctively suspected it.

If she was a microbiologist today she would probably earn $1/4 million a year. Instead she had to build this house out of discarded materials that she scavenged from the side of the road.

Great post and no telling how many like your mother there were in the day.
Problem is today everything that is sold has to show a profit or its useless. That’s why ivermectin is hard having a problem getting traction its as cheap as aspirin and may have such great potential it could put lots of profitable drugs out of business.
We need laws with teeth and prosecutors who are paid so well they won’t go to the dark side.
Its all about values.
