Seven minute video.

The students are chosen by lottery.

The students who attend this particular charter school are doing way better at school than the control sample who lost the lottery.

And the charter school spends far less money than the regular public schools in the same location.

The kids at the charter school like going to school.

The kids who lost the lottery are very sad that they lost.

The charter school wants to expand so more students can attend, but the teachers' union is trying to block the expansion.

Government-controlled education is the worst and most destructive monopoly that exists today.

It far exceeds the leftist fantasies of any corporate monopoly

Public schools reinforce ones position in life. Cliques where certain kids are not welcome. Avoiding the poorer kids or those that can’t keep up. I went to school for 10 years with the same kids and a couple of them, after 10 years of getting D’s just quit and didn’t finish. The schools did nothing for them.

There was a school like this in the inner city of Milwaukee. Kids were doing great. It required parental involvement like many private schools do. Had a waiting list to get in.

Anyways when the city closed the neighborhood public school it refused to sell it to them. It probably still sits empty to this day.

If poor kids succeed, they won’t stay poor. Then who can the left depend on to be dependent enough to keep them in power?

I saw these kids on stage in Harlem doing a little routine about their school. One of Bush’s many education efforts. The exuberance is contagious.

Of course.

If people became aware of what teachers are NOT doing in public schools, they’d start demanding they actually work for a living.

The teachers can’t have any of this accountability stuff.

Awww... Tore at my heartstrings when one little boy said, “Maybe my name’s gonna come next time,” and the other little boys were crying because their names weren’t picked.

Why can’t all public schools be charters?

The AFT and NEA should be banned. They don’t do ANYTHING FOR THE KIDS! This is proof...
