Some things to note...
No name or names on the byline.
The snotty headline.
The staff could easily have checked Jones's credentials and chose not to, or did and didn't mention what they found because it didn't support their narrative.
I've seen Jones' channel. He makes good sense to me. And if what passes for this station's reportage is any indication, Jones is onto something.
