I said in 65 that it wasn’t justified for Trump, because it is well excess of his accusations and demonstratable harm.
You don’t get a bulk rate when multiple individuals sue you. If they can demonstrate that the damage you do to them is worth $1.5 million, that’s what each gets. The judge doesn’t cut the judgement just because there are more people involved. If ten people are involved, he’s going to issue a judgement for each person. He’s not going to say that when ten people are involved, only 8 are going to get their judgement and 2 will not.
