I drive a Lexus.

It has 88,000 miles on it. It’s 20 yrs old.

This video shows why I drive it:

That's about 4 years' worth of miles for our main car. LOL

Two Highlanders and now a 2014 GX460.

ZERO repairs in 21 years. First Highlander went to wife’s daughter. Second Highlander still with wife’s daughter.

2003 Toyota Corolla here. 136,000 miles on it. Also a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan with 162,000 miles. Run cheap. Fox cheap. Maintain cheap. Insure cheap.

Skate cheap.

Where is the value in driving a depreciating value fixed cost debt that depreciates as fast as your monthly car payment and insurance adds up?

I haven't paid more than $3500 dollars for a nice driving vehicle in 30 years. We plan on one last purchase of a Subaru Wagon when we find the right deal, to replace the Dodge Grand Caravan. It spent a decade in Chicago and the rust rot in the usual places on the undercarriage is taking its toll. I tried welding an exhaust bracket back on and the arc just evaporates the rust. It has no good steel to weld to underneath. Looks great though from the driveway.

Those Lexus sedans last forever.

My next door neighbor has one of the earliest ones, a V-8. He drives it every day.

Once I drove a S class Mercedes to Ohio for a friend. He gave me his Lexus to take back to hIs family.

The Lexus was a far better car even though it didn’t cost nearly as much.

I had a 1999 Lexus SC400. This was the model they called the Soarer in Japan. This car was completely made in Japan. Except they put the steering wheel on the left side. It was a great car. I kinda wish I never sold it. The Great recession hit and I needed the money.

I am considering buying a 2010-2015 Lexus IS350C hard top convertible. They made this model for five years to compete with the BMW & Infinity hard top convertibles. This is a naturally aspirated V6 engine that produces about 305 HP.
The problem is that they did not make very many of them. So, the low mileage ones still left around are worth $25-30K used.

Still driving my 2006 Honda CRV with 112,000 miles. Runs like a top, never breaks down. Mr. GG2 is still driving his 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 6 spd manual with Cummins engine.
