Barr was quite far to the left in the 1990s. Pro-Clinton, pro-abortion, pro-LGBT.

Her 1990s sitcom had one of the earliest gay sympathetic characters, played by Martin Mull.

In the 1970s, Three's Company dared not feature a gay sympathetic character. John Ritter's character only pretended to be gay.

I don't think Barr has moved much to the right. It's just that she stood still while the culture kept moving to the left.
