When is it the coldest? Often just before it becomes warm again, and vice-a-versa, and as with immediate weather conditions, so too with long trends - the peaks or valleys hit their top or bottom “limits” just before the trend starts to reverse. Always remember human memories are short term and human record keeping has been as well.
