I disagree. We fired Nurse Ratched a long time ago. Hospitals do not want the responsibility or liability associated with holding patients involuntarily if they at all can avoid it. That responsibility has fallen upon our jails and prisons and they have no idea how to handle it.

Your $20/hour corrections officer has become the new Nurse Ratched, and he's terrible at it.

I'm trying to find the original story but here is one. No it's still going on and people are complaining about being locked up against their will in a Nervous Hospital.
