In her 83 years, this lady still had not learned to stay a safe distance away?
The Bison are not large Chow Dogs, waiting to be petted and played with by we humans. Frankly, they don’t want us around at all.
Considering we did nearly our best to wipe them out, can you blame ‘em?

It’s not every day you run into bison in South Carolina. But the general “large, temperamental, ornery, mean, man-killing and man-goring animal” rule still applies.
Its a little like your dear elderly mother being told by her doctor to avoid certain foods or she can expect GI problems. Sure enough, every now and then, she will eat some of those foods because her GI doctor is too much of a brusque know it all and she wants to prove him wrong. Or at least that is how it goes with my 90 plus mother and her GI issues after eating French fries.
