They have nothing, so this is what gives them purpose and passion. They appear to be jacked up on rage, tantrums, and chanting lame ass slogans, not normal things like family and faith that gives people contentment and stability.
Instead of focusing on the individuals it is wiser to focus on the money and organization behind them.

I agree with your theorum. Can we set up an experiment? Make two groups. 1/2 is this protest stuff, and 1/2 of them get chruch grounding, a family, etc.
