This isnt Orwells style of propaganda, and we don’t (yet) live in Orwells world.

The BBC certainly was one of his models. It was a state broadcaster that was effectively a “sole source” of reporting in wartime Britain.

There is a problem with extending this Orwellian vision into our very different world of multiple sources of both facts and spin.

They are not “multiple sources” if they just copy each other in broadcasting the talking points.
