Twenty years ago you were ina car crash? Get it repaired and get back on the road.

Now, cars are so complex that it costs too much to repair them. Plus, they are never the same again after an accident.

It might also have to do with the fact that the average age of a car on the road is 12.6 years.

Older cars have less value and are harder to get parts for, both of which increase the likelihood they'll get written off.
