The average cost of a new car is $49,000.
I bought my house for $51,000 in 1981. I know about inflation but..just damn.
Better than that, BMW now requires that a windscreen replacement be done when the car is clamped to a frame table (as if they were going to do collision repair)
Of course BMW has proprietary body clamps so not ever every body shop can do that.
What glass shop has a frame table ? (unless it is part of a body shop)
The car is not clamped to a table at the factor when they install the windscreens at the factory, but it is supposedly necessary for a windshield repair.
This is just BS to drive repairs to the dealers and “authorized collision repair”.
Sticker shock.
In Vancouver, the house prices have increased so much that inflation in vehicle prices doesn’t seem that bad. 🙃
So reasonable!! 👍
