That’s an actual assault and the WNBA shouldn’t be investigating it, the police should be.
Usually, the refs are more aggressive in ejecting the players in a NBA game if something like that was to happen. Then the commissioner will suspend the player. Or at least, it used to be that way. (After the Bad Boys era)
