I was at Korat RTAFB at the same time. Assigned to flight surgeons office ncic. I remember that there was a monkey problem at that time also. You could hear them screeching all along the flight line area.
Our little office kept the KC-135 squadron up-to-date with their crypto codes while TDY at Korat. Their primary mission was still support of the bomber forces in case an Emergency War Order (EWO) was issued. I think maybe we had 8 or 10 aircraft.
