I also use Brave, but my impression is that it was based off Chrome. So are we vulnerable as well?

Brave is based off the Chromium subsystem, as is Google Chrome. Chromium updates itself, then all the browsers based off Chromium update theirs. So Brave will update itself and there really shouldn't a need (that I'm aware of) to worry. HOWEVER, it would probably be a good idea to check the Brave website, just to be on the safe side, to ensure you're ok.
