That was Van Halen, but after DLR had left, and Sammy Hagar replaced him. And yes, that was actually the best example if a song with guitars that literally “scream” that I know of. Those are technically called harmonics, and no one could do them that well, before or since.

I’m a Music Major, and “harmonics” is absolutely the last thing I’d call a screaming guitar. Zero harmony is involved. But, then, if that’s what it’s called in the guitar world, so be it.
