Correct. Over age 70, the prognosis is about the same for surgery as it is for radiation treatment.

He developed blood clots in his legs during recovery, and almost died.

Part of my recovery instructions is to walk 10 minutes/day.

More walking = less clotting.

If you are male and live long enough, it is guaranteed that you will develop prostate cancer. "Long enough" in this case, means into your 90's, though.
