The last picture is the “pond” where the chef died. It is a pond because there is a tiny spit of land that separates it from the ocean at low/high tide. So, the water right in front of their house is only about 8-9’ deep. Nice for wind surfing, kayaking or paddle boarding. I don’t think you could take a deep hulled fishing boat into it.
The chef died at night. IMHO, he was out paddling with one of the daughters. Which is why they were sent off the island the next day after the drowning.
