Agreed. And our Jeff Sessions experience has made me skeptical of having someone in the cabinet "experience", even one that we all thought was the best possible pick ever (like I and many FReepers thought of Sessions for AG).
At this point I'd about rather Trump pick his VP and entire cabinet randomly from the masses.

Senators need to stay in the Senate until we have 55+.
Rick Scott is the only man actually announced for majority leader that is close to acceptable. Others mentioned aren’t running. !!!!!
Vivek needs to run for Ohio Governor.
Tulsi has officially left the Democrat party — I think she is on Trump’s short list. Kristie is acceptable. There are a few Congressmen that also fit the bill IMHO.
