Most likely, it will just change the nature of jobs. AI deals with probabilities, it doesn’t think. It’s impressive, it ‘looks’ like it is thinking but it isn’t. Yes, it has neural networks, simulating how our brain neurons work - yet it can’t come up with original ideas.

When it can is when I become more worried.

That said, anyone that works in an area where there’s lots of text and writing, on topics that don’t change much might be under threat. E.g. lawyers. Even the ‘standard care’ that doctors perform. These things have passed the Bar Exam and medical certification exams.

IMHO...it’ll, most likely, be ‘creative destruction’ just like other technologies. It will enable scalability of certain jobs that don’t scale well.
