And Schefer didn’t break any rules. Ok.
“A Louisville, Kentucky, police detective violated department policy by not turning on his body-worn camera while arresting Scottie Scheffler”
I suspect they deleted the video because it made them look bad.
Overzealous DEI cop
Cop training 101: in any situation always issue conflicting commands.
Scottie is lucky he didn’t get shot!
The golfer will pay a fine and the whole episode will be swept under the rug.
imho, the best law enforcement officers are believers (i’ve been blessed to have three as close friends). they never allow emotion to rule them. they think of themselves as servants to the people. i’ve also rarely seen them show emotion under pressure once they became cops. always calm and collected.
Another article mentioned there was a fixed camera nearby that should have caught the initial action. Won’t know definitively till that is seen but an eye witness has already contradicted the cops statement in charging documents on several points of fact.
I guess Scottie doesn’t have to use the excuse he can’t breath ..?
Make him take a stroke and a bad lie and be done with it.
This reminds me of an encounter I had as I drove to work early one morning. I saw a couple of police cars ahead and one of them was parked diagonally in the opposing lane of the road I was about to head down. My lane was wide open, so I proceeded to turn in to it. The cop standing by his car nearly had a stroke jumping up and down, shouting and gesturing with both arms for me to get away from that lane and turn around now!! I suppose he thought it was very obvious that he was blocking the whole road - but it was certainly not obvious to me.
sounds like he might have been guilty of driving while while, but it sure looks like legal actions are going to continue.
