Putin remembers Raisi as a 'true friend' to Russia
DPA International Yahoo News ^ | 5/20/2024 | Staff

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was a "true friend" to Russia and was admired both at home and abroad, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a message on Monday, after it was confirmed that Raisi died in a helicopter crash a day earlier.

Raisi "was rightly highly respected by his compatriots and enjoyed great prestige abroad," Putin said in a condolence message to Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that was released by the Kremlin.

"As a true friend of Russia, he made an invaluable personal contribution to the development of good neighbourly relations between our countries and made great efforts to raise them to the level of strategic partnership.”

In his message, Putin said that he would always fondly remember the "remarkable" Raisi.

The truth is really hurting you. You can’t take the fact that Putin and the terrorist Iranian religious extremists are tight as butt buddies, and always have been.

Russia and Iran Sign an Intelligence Pact
besacenter.org ^ | 3/4/21 | Dr. Ardavan Khoshnood

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Islamic Republic of Iran has experienced a number of serious counterintelligence failures over the years. Last month, Iran and Russia, a close ally of the Islamic regime, signed a pact that should assist it as it attempts to reform its counterintelligence.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has an extensive and complex intelligence apparatus. Its two most important intelligence institutions are the Ministry of Intelligence (MOI) and the intelligence arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). A third key intelligence organization is the IRGC’s Intelligence Protection Organization, which operates independently of the Corps’s intelligence arm and deals in counterintelligence.

While Iran’s intelligence organizations are well equipped and have achieved important successes (particularly in the area of signals intelligence, or SIGINT), the country’s intelligence apparatus is deficient with respect to counterintelligence, or “intelligence protection” as the regime has renamed it. The three most recent counterintelligence failures—all of them devastating— concerned the assassination of Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad, the slaying of al-Qaeda´s number 2 on Iranian soil, and the assassination in Tehran of the architect of the Iranian nuclear program, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.

...How hair-raising, then, that we must turn our attention to the fact that, even as Russia was marshaling its invasion forces, the Biden administration was relying on Russia as its principal intermediary in the negotiations with Iran. It’s doubly humiliating: The president and his envoy, appeasement aficionado Rob Malley, have turned to a rogue for help because the other rogue they are pleading with for a deal won’t deign to negotiate directly with the United States.

Last week in our pages, my friend Victoria Coates, former Trump-administration deputy national-security adviser for Middle Eastern and South African affairs, related that Malley has been collaborating on the Iran negotiations with Russia’s lead diplomat, Mikhail Ulyanov. As Victoria pointed out, “when the negotiations foundered in late December of last year, Ulyanov was credited with bringing them back on track and setting the conditions to reach a new deal in 2022.”

You need to learn what “spam” means, obviously English isn’t your first language. This is a news story, not spam.

Do not feed the trolls.

Five Russian scientists who helped Iran with nuclear secrets killed in plane crash
Daily Mail (UK) ^ | 23rd June 2011 | Daily Mail Reporter

Five Russian scientists who died in a plane crash on Tuesday had been helping Iran with nuclear secrets, it has been revealed.

They were among 45 killed when the plane’s lights failed in heavy fog and careered into a motorway before bursting into flames - leading conspiracy theorists to believe it was a deliberate plot to kill the nuclear experts.

Russian security sources confirmed that the dead scientists worked at the controversial Bushehr nuclear plant on the Iranian Persian Gulf.

You should take your own advice. You know you want to go fight with your red comrades on the ground.

I don’t want to fight with anyone.

My enemies are in DC trying to fight wars with Russia, China, Iran and North Korea all at the same time.

That is just dumb—and dangerous for children and other living things.

There arent many left to like, it seems.
You may want to look into your case of generalized misanthropy.

>> There arent many left to like, it seems.

That’s because I’m goring YOUR ox and you have only that narrow keyhole view from within your tiny, selfish herd.

I have plenty of love for the vast majority of folks that I didn’t call out. For example:

I love the innocent people in Russia, and Ukraine, and Iran, whose lives are made miserable by the powers that be in those places.

I love my fellow US citizens bearing the financial burden of helping the corrupt powers in Ukraine, with money we DO NOT have — even as our own borders are being overrun by our own evil powers-that-be. I love their children and childrens’ children, too, who will either be stuck with that debt, or bear the brunt of defaulting on it.

That’s a good start, there’s a lot of humanity just in those people groups. You’re not worth any more of my time than that, EUbot.

On the contrary, I have whole herds of oxen! Metaphorically. We all do. If you are going to go into a hate-rant everytime someone messes with your oxen, thats a problem.

As for people, Europe has hundreds of millions too, which dont seem to count here. Be it as it may.

I suggest a more considered and rational approach to a difference of opinions.
