True, error was Clinton pushed capitalism and not democracy in Russia. Not sure if democracy would have ever flourished in Russia.

Not sure if democracy would have ever flourished in Russia.It could not. Russians have never had any experience of popular sovereignty. They expect to be dictated to, as they have always been. The only glimmer of democracy that ever happened in Russia was the Decemberists of 1825, and we know what happened to them.
