The founders words were wiser especially if you look at the last 50 or so years of undeclared wars
I mean in hindsight they win the argument!
That worked during Reagan’s era, but is no longer applicable. Future wars won’t be fought with tanks and massive armies. Those days are over.
Reagan was right, but notice he wasn’t saying anything about expanding NATO right up to Russia’s borders or about trying to democratize the Middle East.
Things have also changed since Reagan’s time.
A legacy of the Progressive Woodrow Wilson but at least there was a real Soviet Union in Reagan’s day on the other side.
If the US had not fought in WWI there might never have been a WWII, Nazis, the Holocaust, or the rise of Communism.
