Rich and snobby? Lots of public courses in the US where people of every income and skill level play. I took lessons on one of them. The myth of golf as rich and snobby is just that - a myth. Ninety per cent of players in the US play at public facilities. Believe me, my local driving range is pretty diverse... just the parking lot tells a lot. Yes there are Porsches and Teslas and high-end SUVs, but there are a number of beat-up junkers too. That is golf's great appeal - it's universality. Played on every continent too. Except Antarctica lol.

The Penguins waddle off with the golf balls and try to hatch them.
