My wife and I hiked half dome in 2018, beautiful hike. But that park is so crowded it is ridiculous. My daughter and her husband used to go there right after thanksgiving, and stay in the village (?). There are a bunch of tent structures. It was bitterly cold, but there were very few people in the park.
Thanksgiving dinner at the Ahwahnee used to be great. Haven’t been there in many years.
