“A police officer instructed Scheffler to stop, but Scheffler continued to drive about 10 to 20 yards toward the entrance. You never just stop your car, you drive it to a safe spot to prevent the officer and yourself from being hit by another vehicle.
Scheffler stopped his car as he turned into the entrance of Valhalla Golf Club.
Sounds exactly what he was doing but the officer got over zealous.....
Every one of those charges are trumped up in order to justify the excessive force used by the officer.
You see videos of this crap happening all the time on YouTube...

That was my first thought as well. I haven't seen any video so I don't know anything for sure. But 10-20 yards is 30-50 feet. What's that? Like six car lengths? I dunno. If the cop is literally attaching himself to my car, you just gotta stop right then and there. But a cop suddenly banging on my window might cause a panic reaction....this is all so odd.
If I'm the cop, when I finally get to him, I'm going off on a "what the hell dude?" profanity-laced tirade, giving him a citation where I press down way too hard with my pen, and moving on.
I'll have to watch this video when I'm out of work. I know I'm missing something.
