Their community guidelines expressly prohibits support of:
Blue Lives matter And All Lives Matter Their policy also specifically does not tolerate criticism of: Black Lives Matter And Stop Asian Hate And Social Justice (unless they decide it’s acceptable)
They also expressly prohibit any discussion of “white supremacy” groups. Well that’s acceptable , I have never supported the KKK etc, but guess what their definition of a white supremacy group is?
“… lists compiled by organizations such as the U.S. State Department, Southern Poverty Law Center, and the Anti-Defamation League ..”.
OH yes far left , Marxist riddled SPLC and ADL are the basis for their definition of equality and their guidelines.
There is even more, the links go on. For example I noticed talk of “equity” on their community guidelines.
Another example: “ any ambiguity in light of last week’s violent events in Washington D.C.”. (Jan 6).
Of course no mention is made of riots in Milwaukee where many business were burned down/looted or Portland where many acts of violence on innocents occurred or even the Fender al Courthouse that was set on fire by ANTIFA. But they specifically cite Jan 6 in their policy as an example.
I was on Nextdoor for about a week. It was a bunch of people either complaining about someone mowing their lawn too early on a weekend or people looking for free stuff.
Soviet kibbutz, commune, gulag, ghetto.
Not a chance I would join any platform like this.
I’ve had comments censored on there, really just innocuous observations about the explosion of homeless people in our neighborhoods here in L.A. Nothing combative, just the facts. Censored. Yes, the algorithm is very “woke”.
The site is also very hard to navigate, and at least a third of the posts are about lost dogs or cats, or people selling things.
They also outlaw any comment not totally in line with CDC/WHO on masks, vax, $$Pharm, mandates, lockdowns, etc. There are screaming harpies insisting that their experience in healthcare (probably bedpans) means they can decide what YOU can say on anything related to this subject.
They are an outfit dedicated to censoring folks. A pack of bullies.
Avoid woke Nextdoor, that’s my best advice
!$!@#$!$#$!@$ these NextDoor bastards!
2 years ago I was banned by these virtue-signalling bastards when a “neighbor” (these people ARE your real neighbors, and they know your name because that’s required with difficult work-around) tattled on me for opposing his statement that all they had to do was tattle on all of us to get us suspeneded (I’ve also gone through that) and banned, exactly so it would only be they on ND and they could have their echo chamber!
So the actual ND out of CA cancelled me, and didn’t like my letter asking why (they did copy what was written) and that I told them all they were doing was cancelling people who don’t agree and libeling us as “hateful”, “violent”, “instigators”, whatever.
I could come back on after XX days (like 3 months) if I agreed to be a good girl.
I basically stated, no thanks. Never been back. Now I want my DH to please drop out with this blatant back-handed libel on anyone who isn’t communist.
Ironically they mostly out themselves in their own bigotry of others as well as express astonishing ignorance of civics. My wife joined it and the stuff they jabber on about is horrifying.
I was on Nextdoor for a week or so. All they were doing was spamming me. Took me about a month or more to unsubscribe from about 10 different mailing lists. I still get an occasional one that I have to deal with.
Our Nextdoor is mostly people advertising lawn care or housecleaning. It's redeeming value is letting everyone know when a new store is opening or an old one closing.
NEXTDOOR has been bad news for a long time.
Real estate brokers actually send us letters encouraging is to join because they’ve created a “neighborhood page”. No thanks.
Sounds like what they have in Cuba with “The Committee For the Defense of The Revolution”....
Yep; I got kicked out of Nextdoor for “violating policy” with rebuttal facts that were “Counter-Agenda”. Even though it’s supposed to be neighborhood discussion, ONLY the progressive/Agenda viewpoints are left standing to see.
Yeah, I dropped out of nextdoor within a couple of months of joining.
We had set up a group to support Trump and America First values, and it was supposed to be a semi-private group. Non-members were not supposed to see our content, but all at once we started getting moderator interference in totally innocuous memes and news and jokes.
Nextdoor is just another nazi operation by totalitarian thugs.
Yes, ‘they’ do control Nextdoor too.
The only thing good about nextdoor is that it can be used by a lurker to identify all the nearby leftist loons.
The nextdoor app originated out of San Francisco so that oughta tell you everything you need to know.
I’ve been put in nextdoor jail and kicked off of it multiple times for doing nothing more than telling the truth.
The moderators are “supposedly” people that live in your area but I strongly suspect the land of fruits and nuts monitors discussions closely....and have no problem sensoring language they disagree with.
Who owns/operates Nextdoor? Meta?
I got kicked out of there a few years ago after suggesting that car thieves should be shot.
The whole platform is full of toxic, Leftist, ignorant Karens. I had to delete in less than a month after signing up.
