Sometimes it does happen to kids, especially if there is a history of cancer on one or both sides of the family.
Back in junior high school, my class was assigned a book to read and review in English class. It was “Death Be Not Proud” by
John Gunther. written about 1949.
He describes the experience of watching his son eventually die from brain cancer. A rather serious book for 14 year olds, but we did as told and wrote our reports.
We still remember our deceased classmates 35 years later. We have a table with all of their pictures and flowers.
Ditto what you said.
(At our class reunions)
Heartless and just dumb. What did it get them? One less name to call out at graduation?

Low class on the part of the school does not even come close to what these inbreds are doing😐🤔😑
Thank you so much!
We unfortunately had a student at my son’s school pass away in his senior year due to cancer. His family has been involved with almost everything graduation and band wise since he was one of the lead members of said band. The citizens of our school district would have raised holy hell had the school tried to do anything to stop it.
Sadly his girlfriend died a few months after he did in a car accident that we’re not sure was an accident.
They’re no longer educators that’s problem number one

“It looks like now she will be recognized. Didn’t read the article, but hopefully the family will be satisfied with what the school comes up with.”
The fact they removed it to start with shows how shallow the schools have become. That was so low. When we were in school the higher up would have never thought to do something like this. They too would have been sadden by the loss of a child.
You are so right. I’ve been to St. Judes. Also City of Hope. Every time...I left with tears in my eye.
Too many young people...children...never get to experience life because of Cancer.
Perhaps some day....
Schools use to be places that taught more than text book materials. They would teach, and expect, students to have honor and integrity as well as a level of compassion.
Part of teaching such things is living by example.
This ‘school’ failed
It is almost like the school district has aborted the student from public view.
Most of them are Leftists, so this behavior is normal for them these days.
The best educational moment in the lives of those associated with the scene. Free, too.
Between the two of you, you’ve arrived at the reason for the slight directed at the deceased and her grieving family.
She died from the wrong (albeit indirect) cause (turbocancer) and must be erased from history.
My 3 kids all now in 40s each lost a classmate in grade school to cancer. I remember one- cutest of cute little black boy. A life cut so short.
But at least it was a life—and not terminated by our barbarism. Forgive our sins O Lord!
These “educators” are abject morons.
