Mussolini didn’t actually even make the trains run on time as the old saying went. He did, however, seriously undercut Operation Barbarossa by sheer incompetence in invading Greece without Funny Mustache Man’s OK. It took a couple of Panzer Corps out of the Soviet effort to dig Mussolini out of that one. Should we celebrate the guy’s sheer buffoonery? He did throw Antonio Gramsci into prison, though, so there’s that...

So Guernica bad. The Red Terror where the communist ‘republicans’ killed tens of thousands of Catholic priests and nuns good??

Britain and France kissed Mussolini’s ass in 1938 at Munich and still even after the Germans invaded Poland in 1939 thought Mussolini could help to stop the Germans.

One cannot forget the bombing of Guernica on April 26, 1937, a horrific act of aggression during the Spanish Civil War. Orchestrated by the German Luftwaffe with support from the Italian Aviazione Legionaria and the Corpo Truppe Volontarie, which comprised regular army units and Blackshirts from the Fascist paramilitary, this event remains a stark reminder of the brutality of totalitarian regimes.

There was plenty of brutality and savagery on both sides in the Spanish Civil War. Guernica is enshrined only because of Picasso's painting.

Mussolini was a piker compared to what we have in the USA.

Benito could only dream of having the power to arrest thousands of citizens and throw them in prison without a trial. Just like what Biden has done.

From the Diary of Ashleigh Biden.
